SV	[Aleph.] Hoe zit die stad [zo] eenzaam, die vol volks was, zij is als een weduwe geworden, zij, die groot was onder de heidenen, een vorstin onder de landschappen, is cijnsbaar geworden.
WLC	אֵיכָ֣ה ׀ יָשְׁבָ֣ה בָדָ֗ד הָעִיר֙ רַבָּ֣תִי עָ֔ם הָיְתָ֖ה כְּאַלְמָנָ֑ה רַבָּ֣תִי בַגֹּויִ֗ם שָׂרָ֙תִי֙ בַּמְּדִינֹ֔ות הָיְתָ֖ה לָמַֽס׃ ס
Trans.	’êḵâ yāšəḇâ ḇāḏāḏ hā‘îr rabāṯî ‘ām hāyəṯâ kə’aləmānâ rabāṯî ḇagwōyim śārāṯî bamməḏînwōṯ hāyəṯâ lāmas:

AC	א איכה ישבה בדד העיר רבתי עם--היתה כאלמנה רבתי בגוים שרתי במדינות--היתה למס {ס}
ASV	How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! She is become as a widow, that was great among the nations! She that was a princess among the provinces is become tributary!
BE	See her seated by herself, the town which was full of people! She who was great among the nations has become like a widow! She who was a princess among the countries has come under the yoke of forced work!
Darby	How doth the city sit solitary [that] was full of people! She that was great among the nations is become as a widow; the princess among the provinces is become tributary!

Sch	Wie einsam sitzt doch jetzt die Stadt, die so stark bevölkert war! Sie ist zur Witwe geworden, sie, die groß war unter den Völkern; die Fürstin der Hauptstädte ist nun zinsbar geworden!
